Festival
- Under the advice of public health officials, GonzoFest organizers decided to cancel the 10th-anniversary event set to take place on September 11 due to the COVID-19 delta variant. As a result, Hunter S. Thompson fans will have to wait until 2022 to celebrate his life + work. (The Courier-Journal)
Eat
- Look out foodies, there’s a new food truck in town at Atrium Brewing. Dary’s — cold beer, tenders, and sides — is now on the back patio of the brewery every day from 11 a.m-10 p.m. Aside from chicken tendies, the restaurant is also serving up apps like deviled eggs + fried green tomatoes. 🐓
Development
- Exeter Property Group and Hennepin Industrial are expanding their footprint in Louisville with 2 facilities totaling nearly 1.5 million sqft. The Bullitt County development began in August and is expected to finish in about a year. Once complete, Exeter will own the buildings + seek tenants to fill them. (Louisville Business First)
Traffic
- Closed lanes on the Kennedy Bridge, which have been shut down since at least June 7, are open again after necessary repairs. The southbound I-65 bridge had 6 bolts missing on an expansion joint that connected sections of the concrete deck. Repairs included the installation of 200 custom-made, 18-inch steel bolts. 🚧 (WDRB)

- SC-based 501C3 nonprofit The Greenlaw Foundation is raising funds through individual + community donations to help support struggling veterans. Donations are tax deductible and can help change the lives of veterans in need. Ⓟ
