Homearama is an annual Louisville event that showcases custom-built, new homes at a single site that are fully furnished, decorated, landscaped, and feature the latest in building trends, technology + interior design. All of the houses except The Old Fashion have sold already.
The homes in this year’s exhibition take their landscape and architectural design inspiration from historic Old Louisville with modern flourishes like smart appliances + other current interior home trends — kitchen islands, ornate tile work + and electric car charging stations.
In total, the 9 homes represent ~31,440-sqft of new construction in Norton Commons, a neighborhood that has been growing rapidly since the first neighbors and businesses moved in 15 years ago. Across all 9 houses, there are 37 bedrooms and 33.5 bathrooms.
Take a look inside these houses during the week from 5-8 p.m., on Saturday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m., and Sunday from 1-6 p.m. Tickets are $10 per person. Children aged 12 and younger get in free with an adult.
On Sept. 18, Homearama will host a ticketed charity concert, “Music By the Water,” to benefit Blessings in a Backpack starting at 6:30 p.m. The Monarchs will take the stage at the Norton Amphitheater at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25.

- Give For Good Louisville, a fundraiser benefiting 550+ local nonprofits, starts this Friday, Sept. 17. Hosted by the Community Foundation of Louisville, the 24-hour fundraiser will happen virtually. In 2020, the Community Foundation doled out 11,700 grants totaling over $68 million to area nonprofits. - UofL’s basketball tipoff event, “Downs After Dark: Horses and Hoops,” will pay homage to the Cardinals’ 1986 national championship team on Sept. 18. - Local axe-throwing venue Flying Axes is moving to NuLu at 610 Nanny Goat Strut from its current location at 146 N Clay St. The new location boasts 4,356-sqft of space and will have a new indoor bar + outdoor patio. - Nanz & Kraft upgraded its headquarters at 141 Breckenridge Ln. The 3,000-sqft renovation by Kurt Construction mainly focused on the back office space to promote ergonomics and functionality. - Scooter’s Coffee, an Omaha, Nebraska-based chain, is bringing 5 locations to the Louisville area with its first one opening this month at 4703 Dixie Highway. All 5 locations should be open by spring 2022. ☕ (Louisville Business First)
Traffic
- Starting Friday at 10 p.m., the eastbound lanes of Interstate 64 on the Sherman Minton Bridge will be closed until Monday at 5 p.m. as part of the first phase of the bridge’s renewal project. Drivers coming from New Albany will need to utilize the Second Street or Kennedy Bridges. (WDRB)

Back at it again at Cardinal Stadium 🏈
Football season is back in the Ville. The UofL Cardinals opened their season on Sept. 6 against Ole Miss. While that game ended in defeat, the Cards took home a victory in their Saturday game against Eastern Kentucky. Go cards.
